Book Signing: Gateway Christian School (Red Deer)

I retired from Gateway in the summer of 2016 after spending the final 14 years of my teaching career there. I’ve been so appreciative of the way that the amazing Gateway community has continued to support me on this new writing adventure, and I’m thrilled that they’ll be celebrating along with me as I launch my first novel, Space Cadets.
The event, which ties in with the school’s literacy initiative, will begin with me visiting with students in grades 3 and above during the school week of February 5-9. At that time I’ll read them the first chapter of Space Cadets, as well as answering their questions about the life of an author. An order form will be sent home, and students may order a copy of the book for $10 up until Friday, February 16. Then, on Wednesday, February 28, books will be handed out to students, which I will sign for them in the library at recess times.
Staff and anyone else associated with the Gateway community (including former students and staff, family members, etc.) are welcome to jump on board with this event. Just pop in to the office to order a book. If you’re able to make it in to get your book signed on the 28th, that would be fantastic—I’d love to connect with you! If that doesn’t work for you, that’s okay too. A signed copy of the novel will await you at the office when you’re able to make it in to pick it up.
I’m excited about being able to share this experience with Gateway’s students, and to get a chance to celebrate together with a community that I love so much!
Space Cadets is my first book, but I have a bunch of ideas bouncing around in my head, so more are sure to follow!
