Virtual Writing Workshop, École Connaught School (Medicine Hat)

I will be leading two grade 5 classes through three virtual sessions (M/W/F @ 1:15). Students will learn to defeat writers’ block by walking through a process that will take them from initial brainstorming to creating an interesting inciting incident by asking the simple question, “What could go wrong?” By the end of the week, they will have collaborated as a group to create an outline that will not only enable them to write their own short story, but leave them with a sure-fire method for their own story building in the future.

I was a teacher for 31 years in Red Deer, Alberta (Canada). I had boatloads of fun with my students, but three decades is a long time, so I decided to retire to something a little quieter.
